Full-stack Software Developer
Description
This role involves leading WordPress development, architecting and maintaining high-performance websites, creating custom solutions, and providing technical guidance. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure code quality and adherence to standards, implement responsive and accessible designs, and manage project deliverables within an Agile framework. They will also contribute to DevOps and deployment strategies.
What We're Looking For
Lead WordPress Development: Architect, build, and maintain complex, high-performance WordPress websites and applications that are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.
Custom Solutions & Technical Leadership: Develop advanced custom themes, Gutenberg blocks, and plugins. Provide technical guidance on WordPress architecture, ensuring adherence to industry and internal coding standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and project stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. Provide mentorship and code reviews for junior developers.
Code Quality & Engineering Excellence: Champion clean, maintainable, and reusable code. Enforce best practices in code structure, accessibility, performance, and security across the development team.
Responsive & Accessible Design Implementation: Ensure web solutions are fully responsive and meet accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), delivering a seamless experience across all devices and user types.
Agile Delivery & Ownership: Take ownership of project deliverables within an Agile workflow—contributing to sprint planning, leading stand-ups when necessary, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
DevOps & Deployment: Collaborate on deployment strategies using CI/CD pipelines and staging environments. Ensure smooth transitions from development to production environments.
5+ years of professional experience in web development.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL.
Experience in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative workflows.
Experience with deployment processes, including staging environments and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with the WordPress framework and coding standards.
Solid experience developing custom WordPress themes, plugins and Gutenberg blocks.
Understanding of SEO best practices for WordPress and experience using tools like Yoast.
Proficient in Figma with a strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility, and UX best practices.
Ability to translate designs into pixel-perfect, functional front-end code.
