The Front of House Team Captain collaborates with the General Manager and kitchen team to ensure a positive work environment, manage daily FOH operations, meet sales objectives, and maintain food management processes. This role involves executing shift planning, supervising the FOH team, providing guidance and feedback, managing breaks, handling guest complaints, and assisting with recruitment and administrative tasks.
Work with passion and integrity to create a great work environment.,Support General Manager to meet daily FOH operations and sales objectives.,Ensure inventory and food management processes (orders, quality, waste, safety, hygiene) are met.,Execute daily shift planning, organization, and implementation of operational routines for FOH team.,Act as a role model, enforcing company policies and being a product knowledge guru.,Supervise and guide FOH team members on operational and procedural matters (e.g., VIP experience, menu/product knowledge).,Assist in developing FOH team members through continuous feedback and goal follow-up.,Prepare and run daily FOH team rallies.,Plan and manage daily FOH team break schedule.,Partner with BOH Team to monitor guest order wait times and respond to guest complaints.,Submit daily reporting requirements (e.g., Shift notes, Cash Management).,Assist General Manager in the recruitment process for new FOH team members.,Constantly review FOH operations for improvement opportunities.,Execute administrative tasks as requested.,Adhere to and enforce company policies, programs, and compliance needs.
High-School Diploma or equivalent.,Previous sales experience.,1 year of leadership/supervisor experience in a restaurant, retail or hospitality setting preferred.,Possess a degree in a culinary field or the hospitality industry (asset).,Ability to quickly grasp facts, analytical mind, facility with numbers, attention to detail, and ability to make decisions.,Team spirit, leadership, and good communication skills.,Confidence, integrity, ability to manage stress, energy, autonomy, initiative, flexibility, and a focus on quality and organization.,Comfortable in fast-paced and continuously changing environments.,MAPAQ certification and first aid training (asset).
