Mandy's Gourmet Salads, a health and wellness restaurant, is seeking a Front of House Team Captain to contribute to a positive work environment and support the General Manager in daily operations. The role involves ensuring high-quality service, managing FOH team activities, and maintaining standards in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with the General Manager and kitchen team to create a great work environment.,Support the General Manager in meeting daily FOH operations and sales objectives, including inventory and food management, waste management, safety, and hygiene.,Execute daily shift planning, organization, and implementation of operational routines for the FOH team using a deployment tool.,Act as a role model by respecting and enforcing company policies, procedures, and demonstrating expert product knowledge.,Supervise and guide FOH team members to ensure work meets company quality, service, and guest standards (e.g., VIP experience, menu knowledge).,Assist in developing FOH team members through continuous feedback and goal follow-up.,Prepare and run daily FOH team rallies.,Plan and manage the daily FOH team break schedule.,Partner with the Back of House Team to monitor guest order wait times and resolve guest complaints.,Submit daily reporting requirements (e.g., Shift notes, Cash Management).,Assist the General Manager in the recruitment process (e.g., interviews).,Constantly review FOH operations for improvement opportunities.,Execute administrative and other tasks as requested by the General Manager.
High-School Diploma or equivalent.,Previous sales experience.,1 year of leadership/supervisor experience in a restaurant, retail or hospitality setting preferred.,Possess a degree in a culinary field or the hospitality industry (asset).,Ability to quickly grasp facts, an analytical mind, facility with numbers, attention to detail and the ability to make decisions are required.,Team spirit, leadership and good communication skills are required.,Confidence, integrity, ability to manage stress, energy, autonomy, initiative, flexibility and a focus on quality and organization are required.,Adhere to and enforce company policies, programs and meet compliance needs.,Comfortable in fast-paced and continuously changing environments.,Able to stand for long periods of time and/or work around heat.,Can work around others in close quarters.,Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.,Computer/tech savvy (ex: Google Workspace).,MAPAQ certification and first aid training (asset).
