FP&A Principal Analyst, Drug Substance Finance

Description

The Principal Analyst, Drug Substance Finance at Moderna will provide financial clarity and strategic insight for internal Drug Substance operations, managing approximately $0.6 billion in spending. This individual contributor role, based in Warsaw, Poland, involves leading budget development, monitoring expenditures, driving financial analyses, and designing digital financial dashboards. The role requires close collaboration with the Global Drug Substance Operations team to enhance analytics, drive efficiency, and support strategic financial decisions, including costing new programs and operational scenarios, while promoting digital finance and operational excellence.

What We're Looking For

Lead the development of annual budgets and reforecasting for internal Drug Substance manufacturing operations.,Monitor and control budgets, forecasts, and expenditures across multiple DS sites and raw material categories.,Drive strategic financial analyses using ROI models and data-driven insights to support operational decision-making.,Design and maintain intuitive, digitized financial dashboards and datasets for the Global Drug Substance Leadership Team.,Deliver monthly reporting packages and insights to budget owners and site leadership teams.,Support new program costing and scenario modeling related to manufacturing cost drivers and process changes.,Manage day-to-day purchase requisition approvals.,Support accounting operations with spend-related accruals during month-end close.,Challenge existing finance processes to improve information flow and reduce friction.,Contribute to a continuous improvement culture by proposing and implementing best practices.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required,5+ years of FP&A experience,Excellent English skills, both written and verbal,Desire to be part of a high-growth, transformational company,Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in reporting and data analysis,Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities,Strong collaboration and teamwork skills in a global, cross-functional context,High degree of initiative, proactiveness and problem-solving attitude,Life Sciences industry experience preferred,Experience with Tier 1 ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial planning and reporting tools is preferred,Strong business acumen: proven ability to effectively scrutinize and challenge assumptions and interpret strategy in financial terms,Excellent project management / leadership skills with demonstrated track record,Strong presentation skills to deliver recommendations to senior leaders and frame complex concepts,Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling,Exceptional attitude, diligence, and ability to motivate teams
