The Forklift Operator at Saputo will primarily be responsible for transferring finished goods, wrapping, documenting, and racking pallets. The role also involves staging and replenishing packaging materials, pulling and palletizing raw materials, managing warehouse inventories, and maintaining a safe work environment. This position operates during an overnight shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Transfer finished good pallets from production, wrap, document, and rack.
Stage and replenish packaging materials.
Pull and palletize raw materials.
Stock and maintain warehouse inventories.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse.
Basic knowledge of using and operating warehouse machinery and equipment.
Maintaining and servicing warehouse equipment, including forklifts, daily.
Proper packing, labeling, and tagging of inventory.
Maintain quality in the warehouse and keep track of all damaged inventory, reporting to supervising authorities.
Work in accord with all safety regulations at Saputo.
Ability to complete tasks in an efficient manner.
Conduct cycle counts of inventory and manage log registers as required.
Follow directions verbally and/or written from supervisor.
Loading and unloading of goods and supplies with the use of a forklift daily.
Read and understand daily inventory movement sheet.
Document control, including filing paperwork daily from production runs and closing production.
Performing inventory control functions in SAP.
All employees working in the warehouse will be trained on-site and certified by materials provided by the National Safety Council.
Overnight position 6:00pm to 6:00am
Must be able to complete tasks in an efficient manner. Working in accord with all safety regulations at Saputo.
