Description

This role involves providing expert financial planning and wealth management advice to CIBC clients, working in collaboration with banking centre advisors. Key areas include estate planning, business transition planning, tax minimization, protection planning, and philanthropy. The consultant will analyze client financial situations, develop holistic plans, and provide insights on market environments.

What We're Looking For

Provide expert financial planning counsel specializing in wealth management.,Work in partnership with CIBC banking centre based advisors.,Operate within the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO).,Possess subject matter expertise in industry, economic, and market impacts, legislation, competitors, regulators, and trends.,Engage with clients to understand and analyze their priorities, optimize financial planning strategies, and recommend solutions.,Analyze client financial situations and investment portfolios.,Prepare and present holistic financial plans using CIBC tools.,Provide clients with insights on economic and market environments.,Educate Advisors and relationship managers on the Financial Planning Consultant's role and value proposition.,Share results of client discussions and coordinate product/service delivery with relationship managers.,Identify opportunities for referrals to other CIBC subsidiaries.,Collaborate with relationship managers to identify high-value clients and obtain referrals.,Conduct regular information sessions/seminars for relationship managers.

Ideal Candidate

Certified Financial Planning designation (CFP) with Financial Planning Canada is required.,If in Quebec, the (IQPF) designation is required.,Canadian Securities Course (CSC) completed.,Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) is an asset.,Status of Registered Representative (if required) or status of IIROC.,Extensive investment knowledge and expertise.,Strong understanding of markets.
