Description

CIBC is seeking a Financial Planning Consultant to join its Financial Planning and Advice team. This role focuses on providing expert financial planning and wealth management solutions to CIBC clients, working closely with banking centre advisors. Key responsibilities include engaging with clients to understand their financial priorities, analyzing their financial situation, and developing holistic financial plans that encompass retirement, education, and estate considerations. The consultant will also educate advisors and relationship managers on the value proposition of financial planning services.

What We're Looking For

Provide subject matter expertise on industry, economic, market impact, legislation, competitors, regulators, and trends.,Engage with clients in discovery conversations to understand and analyze their financial priorities and family dynamics.,Identify opportunities to optimize financial planning strategies and recommend aligned solutions.,Analyze clients' financial situations and investment portfolios, aligning recommendations with their goals.,Prepare and present holistic financial plans using CIBC tools, covering retirement, education, and intergenerational estate considerations.,Provide clients insights on current economic and market environments and their effect on investment portfolios.,Educate Advisors and relationship managers about the role and value proposition of the Financial Planning Consultant.,Share results of client discussions and coordinate the delivery of products/services with relationship managers.,Identify opportunities for referrals to other CIBC subsidiaries involved in client asset management.,Collaborate with relationship managers within the banking centre network to identify high-value clients with investment, business transition, and estate planning needs.,Conduct regular information sessions/seminars for relationship managers.

Ideal Candidate

Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation with Financial Planning Canada (required),If in Quebec, the IQPF designation (required),Canadian Securities Course (CSC) (completed),Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) (required),Status of Registered Representative (if required) or status of IIROC
