Description

The Financial Planning Analyst, as part of the Family Office Service (FOS) team at Royal Bank of Canada, is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial planning solutions to clients. This involves acting as a primary financial planner in a centralized service role and collaborating with Financial Planning Specialists in various regions. Key responsibilities include preparing and continuously developing proprietary 'Compass' comprehensive financial plans, determining client objectives, analyzing current financial situations, and formulating appropriate advice, strategies, and recommendations, particularly in tax, retirement, and estate planning. The role also involves staying current with financial planning standards, identifying business opportunities, maintaining strong partnerships across RBC units, contributing to service enhancement projects, and providing coaching and training to other wealth management professionals.

Prepare comprehensive personal financial plans for sales forces and Financial Planning Specialists.,Determine clients' objectives, analyze current situations, and develop appropriate advice and strategies.,Stay current with financial planning standards and practices.,Identify, introduce, and follow up on opportunities for complimentary businesses and solutions.,Maintain a high level of partnership and knowledge regarding all RBC units.,Contribute ideas and participate in development projects to enhance services.,Provide ongoing coaching and training to other professionals in Wealth Management Services.

Ideal Candidate

Financial Planner diploma granted by the IQPF (Must-have).,5 years of experience in financial planning (Must-have).,Client-facing experience (Strong asset).,In-depth understanding and knowledge of the Canadian taxation system (Must-have).,Accounting designation (Nice-to-have).
