The AML Financial Crime Risk Investigative Analyst provides analytical and operational support in financial crime risk management, focusing on understanding and mitigating risks related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions. The role involves analyzing transactional activity for suspicious patterns, managing workload, identifying and escalating risks, providing subject matter expertise on AML/ATF, and contributing to operational efficiencies. This position also requires ensuring due diligence, reviewing information against guidelines, and maintaining accuracy in all transactions and activities.
Conduct analysis of transactional activity to identify risks, trends, and potential suspicious activity.
Prioritize and manage own workload to meet service level requirements.
Identify and manage risks, escalating non-standard, high-risk transactions/activities.
Maintain knowledge of practices and procedures within own area and keep abreast of emerging trends.
Act as a key resource/specialist providing technical subject matter expertise on AML/ATF and other sanctions-related matters.
Contribute to the identification and implementation of new products, operating workflow, and operational efficiencies.
Run and review information against various lists and guidelines, ensuring accuracy and flagging deviations.
Manage and process activities with multiple steps, systems, and jurisdictions.
Find opportunities to improve service delivery and support operational improvement.
Ensure necessary due diligence to support the accuracy of all transactions/activities.
Require in-depth knowledge in a range of products and services, processes, procedures, and systems within own area of specialty.
Generally interact with internal colleagues and contacts; may provide process/policy guidance to others.
Participate fully as a member of the team, supporting a positive work environment.
Act as a brand ambassador for the business area/function and TD.
Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.
Maintain a culture of risk management and control.
Undergraduate degree preferred
One (1) or more years of relevant experience
Fundamental knowledge of AML operations, standards, procedures, laws, rules and regulations
