Description

This role is with RBC Family Office Services, focusing on providing expert guidance on a broad range of technical tax, estate, and financial planning strategies. The consultant will support RBC advisors, wealth management clients, and client-facing Family Office Services professionals. Key aspects include communicating complex financial strategies to high-net-worth individuals and private business owners, researching and publishing technical articles, leading presentations, and staying updated on legislative changes.

What We're Looking For

Serve as the primary contact for RBC advisors, Wealth Management clients, and Family Office Services professionals for guidance on tax, estate, and financial planning.,Communicate expert knowledge on issues affecting high-net-worth individuals and private business owners (e.g., corporate reorganizations, holding companies, trust structures, business sales, employee stock options).,Provide guidance on legal issues related to tax and estate planning.,Offer information on estate, incapacity, and disability planning, including Wills, powers of attorney, family law, and creditor protection strategies.,Research and author technical publications and articles, simplifying complex strategies for a non-technical audience.,Lead presentations on specific topics for advisors.,Stay current with pertinent legislative changes.,Actively participate in strategic projects with internal business partners across the organization.

Ideal Candidate

University degree supported by a professional designation (CPA, MTax or LL.B.).,7 years of related experience in tax, estate, and advanced financial planning.,Strong research skills, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze data.,Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.,Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service, accuracy, and professionalism.,Ability to prioritize and organize multiple assignments to consistently meet deadlines.,Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.,Bilingualism (English and French) required.,Financial planning designation (CFP, RFP, or IQPF) is an an asset.,CICA In Depth tax course or equivalent a strong asset.,US Planning knowledge would be a strong asset.,Experience in owner-manager taxation and corporate reorganizations.
