Description

This role within the Imperial Service Team involves building and managing a client portfolio through relationship management, financial services support, and excellent client service. The Financial Advisor acts as a primary contact for clients, helping them with current and future financial planning, including investments, lending, and estate planning, while also engaging in business development and community involvement. The role requires flexibility to work banking centre hours, potentially including evenings and weekends, and at multiple banking centres.

Focus on client experience and personal connection.,Provide tailored advice and solutions in financial planning (day-to-day banking, investments, lending, estate planning).,Cultivate networks and establish new client relationships.,Understand local market and create sales plans to convert leads.,Use relationship building and networking skills to generate opportunities.,Leverage CIBC's credit and investment solutions.,Attend local events and participate in marketing/outreach to heighten CIBC brand awareness.,Demonstrate 1-3 years of experience in providing financial advice and achieving performance targets.,Be a certified professional (CIRO-MFD) with current accreditation and good standing in Canadian Securities Course (CSC)/Canadian Investments Funds Course (CIFC)/Investment Funds in Canada Course (IFC) and meet eligibility for CIRO-MFD licensing.,For Quebec, current accreditation and good standing in AMF licensing, successful completion of CIFC or CSC to support AMF licensing, and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC).

Ideal Candidate

Certified professional (CIRO-MFD).,Current accreditation and good standing in The Canadian Securities Course (CSC)/Canadian Investments Funds Course (CIFC)/Investment Funds in Canada Course (IFC).,Meet eligibility requirements for CIRO-MFD licensing.,For Quebec: Current accreditation and good standing in AMF licensing.,Successful completion of Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) to support AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) licensing.,Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC).,Asset: CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course - Quebec (0774) and CSI/ICB Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790).

Work Hours

37.5 hours/week, flexible banking centre hours which may include evenings and weekends.
