Description

This role at CIBC involves building and managing a dedicated client portfolio by providing comprehensive financial advice, including day-to-day banking, investments, lending, and estate planning. The advisor will focus on client engagement, business development through networking and sales planning, and increasing CIBC's brand awareness within the community.

What We're Looking For

Build and grow a dedicated client portfolio through relationship management, financial services support, and exceptional client service.

Act as a single point of contact for clients, delivering on CIBC’s Imperial Service approach.

Provide tailored advice and solutions in all areas of financial planning.

Cultivate networks to establish new client relationships.

Understand the local market and potential client base to create sales plans.

Use strong relationship building and networking skills to generate opportunities.

Leverage CIBC’s credit and investment solutions to provide a needs-based approach.

Heighten CIBC brand awareness by attending local events and participating in marketing activities.

Flexibility to work banking centre hours, including evenings and weekends.

Flexibility to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance.

Ideal Candidate

1 – 3 years of experience in providing financial advice to clients and establishing relationships while achieving performance targets.

Certified professional (CIRO-MFD).

Current accreditation and good standing in The Canadian Securities Course (CSC)/Canadian Investments Funds Course (CIFC)/Investment Funds in Canada Course (IFC).

Must meet eligibility requirements for CIRO-MFD licensing.

For Quebec: Current accreditation and good standing in AMF licensing.

For Quebec: Successful completion of Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) to support AMF licensing, and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC).

Asset: CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course - Quebec (0774) and CSI/ICB Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790).

Special Commitments
