Description

As an RBC Financial Advisor, you will develop and maintain relationships with high-value personal and small business clients by providing professional and proactive financial advice. You will leverage your expertise in everyday banking, investments, and credit to help clients achieve their goals and navigate key life events, collaborating with RBC partners to offer comprehensive solutions. The role involves understanding client needs, delivering client-centric advice, championing digital tools, and actively acquiring and retaining clients within the local community.

What We're Looking For

Consistently demonstrate empathy and understanding in client and colleague interactions.,Effectively communicate to identify client needs and resolve concerns.,Utilize personal advice capabilities and the broader RBC ecosystem to address all client financial needs.,Provide professional advice and education on complex credit and investments, ensuring appropriate solutions.,Promote digital self-service options and encourage clients to interact through their preferred channels.,Use technology to connect with clients virtually and in person.,Implement strategies for new client acquisition and retention in the local community.,Collaborate with financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking experts.,Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).,Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation (for Canada excluding Quebec) or Certificate of Achievement – Personal Finance (for Quebec).,2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments.,Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.,Digital literacy across a broad range of devices.

Ideal Candidate

Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).,Canada (excluding Quebec): Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute (e.g., Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I).,Quebec: Completed Certificate of Achievement – Personal Finance, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute (e.g., Fundamentals of Personal Finance – Quebec, Investment and Taxation Fundamentals – Quebec, Insurance and Retirement – Quebec).,2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry.,Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.,Digital literacy across a broad range of devices.,Nice-to-have: Second language skill.,Nice-to-have: Active in developing a solid network in the local community.
