Financial Advisor - Toronto Downtown

Description

This role involves attracting, nurturing, and growing relationships with high-value personal and small business clients for RBC. The Financial Advisor will provide proactive financial advice across everyday banking, investments, and credit, collaborating with RBC partners to help clients achieve their financial goals and navigate key life events. The position requires an ability to provide expert advice on complex personal and business financial needs.

What We're Looking For

Consistently demonstrate empathy, kindness, and understanding in client and colleague interactions.,Effectively communicate to uncover client needs, deliver client-centric advice, and resolve concerns at the first point of contact.,Utilize personal advice capabilities and leverage the RBC ecosystem to meet clients' full range of financial needs.,Provide professional advice and education on complex credit and investments, ensuring appropriate solutions for client needs.,Champion digital enablement by educating clients on self-service options and encouraging digital interactions.,Use technology to connect with clients virtually and face-to-face.,Implement effective contact and relationship-building strategies for new client acquisition and retention in the local community.,Collaborate with financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking experts.

Ideal Candidate

Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course),Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation (Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I),1-2 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments,Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships,Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.),Active in developing a solid network in the local community (Nice-to-have)

Minimum Education

Mutual Funds accreditation, Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation

Work Hours

37.5 hours/week; Required to be fully available during RBC's retail branch hours of operation, including extended hours Monday through Saturday until 8:00 PM and Sunday as applicable.
