Description

As a Financial Advisor in the Personal and Business Banking Team at CIBC, you will manage and expand a dedicated client portfolio by providing financial advice, support, and exceptional service. You will act as a primary contact for clients, helping them with financial planning for immediate and future needs, including investments, lending, and estate planning. This role involves developing new client relationships, understanding the local market, and participating in community activities to enhance CIBC's brand awareness. You will be flexible to work banking centre hours, which may include evenings and weekends, and be able to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance. The work arrangement is full-time on-site.

Build and grow a dedicated client portfolio through relationship management, financial services support, and exceptional client service.,Deliver on CIBC's Imperial Service approach, acting as a single point of contact for clients.,Provide tailored advice and solutions in all areas of financial planning including day-to-day banking, investments, lending and estate planning.,Cultivate network to establish new client relationships.,Understand local market and potential client base to create sales plan.,Use strong relationship building and networking skills to create connections, generate opportunities, and deliver bottom line results.,Leverage CIBC's range of credit and investment solutions to provide a needs-based approach.,Attend local events and participate in marketing and outreach activities to heighten CIBC brand awareness.,Flexible to work banking centre hours, which may include evenings and weekends.,Flexible to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance.

Ideal Candidate

1 – 3 years experience in providing financial advice to clients and establishing relationships while achieving performance targets.,Certified professional (CIRO-MFD) with current accreditation and good standing in The Canadian Securities Course (CSC)/Canadian Investments Funds Course (CIFC)/Investment Funds in Canada Course (IFC) and must meet eligibility requirements for CIRO-MFD licensing.,For Quebec: Certified professional with current accreditation and good standing in AMF licensing; Successful completion of Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) to support AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) licensing, and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC).,Asset if completed CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course - Quebec (0774) and CSI/ICB Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790).
