Description

This role as an RBC Financial Advisor involves building, nurturing, and expanding relationships with high-value personal and small business clients by providing proactive financial advice, especially in everyday banking, investments, and credit. The advisor will collaborate with RBC partners to help clients achieve their financial goals and address key life events, providing an expert advice experience for both complex personal and business needs.

What We're Looking For

Demonstrate empathy, kindness, and understanding in client and colleague interactions.

Effectively communicate to identify client needs, offer client-centric advice, solutions, and resolve concerns.

Leverage personal and RBC partner expertise to meet all client financial needs.

Provide professional advice and education on complex credit and investments, ensuring appropriate solutions for client needs.

Promote digital enablement, educating clients on self-service and encouraging digital interaction where possible.

Utilize technology for virtual and in-person client connections.

Implement strategies for new client acquisition and retention in the local community.

Collaborate with financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking experts.

Ideal Candidate

Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).

Canada (excluding Quebec): Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute (e.g., Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I).

Quebec: Completed Certificate of Achievement – Personal Finance, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute (e.g., Fundamentals of Personal Finance – Quebec, Investment and Taxation Fundamentals – Quebec, Insurance and Retirement – Quebec).

2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments.

Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.

Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, laptops).

Fluency in Mandarin.

Nice-to-have: Active in developing a solid network in the local community.
