Description

The Finance Manager will oversee the Financial Control and Performance Management functions in Malaysia, supervising and training direct reports. This role involves supporting stakeholders on finance matters, ensuring accurate financial records align with RBC policies and local accounting guidance, and assisting with business planning and forecasting. The manager will also lead year-end audits, prepare financial reports, enhance business partnering capabilities, manage Management Information Reporting, and identify cost-saving initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Manage the Malaysia Financial Control and Performance Management functions,Supervise, coach, and train direct reports,Support stakeholders in finance matters,Ensure all financial records are accurate and in-line with RBC policies and local statutory and accounting guidance,Support Malaysia's business planning and forecast process and reporting of results,Deliver Financial Reporting requirements to support offshore Finance Business Partnering, in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs),Play a leading role in the year-end audit of the Malaysia entity,Assist with the annual budget and regular forecast exercise for the Malaysia businesses,Review financial reports and attend meetings with stakeholders for financial presentation,Enhance business partnering capabilities of Malaysia Finance,Manage the Management Information Reporting COE and provide APAC Business Partners Management Information (MI) production support,Conduct robust reviews of business and function costs, recommend and support cost saving initiatives,Manage the financial accounting records for Malaysia, including month-end closing deliverables, variance analysis for non-trading P&L and balance sheet, and monthly balance-sheet attestation,Review and update the Delegation of Authority and Finance Authorised Signatory List,Manage reporting in line with RBC and statutory requirements (e.g., Standard of Documentation packages, SOX, GL attestation, local regulatory survey and declaration, Finance and Tax submissions),Manage Intra-Group and Transfer Pricing invoices and booking of corresponding entries,Play a leading role in the year-end audit and ensure financial statements are accurately completed and submitted timely

Ideal Candidate

A finance discipline, preferably Accounting, Audit, Management Reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis,Minimum 7 years of working experience within Finance,Working knowledge and application of accounting concepts within a Financial Institution,Advanced knowledge of Excel,Strong written and verbal communication,Attention to detail
