Finance Intern, US Regulatory Reporting and Financial Control

This internship offers a motivated and detail-oriented individual the opportunity to join RBC's Financial Accounting and Reporting Support team. The intern will assist with various daily accounting and financial tasks, including month-end and quarter-end closing, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

Assist with month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including journal entries booking.,Prepare various financial reports and templates on a monthly and quarterly basis.,Support the production and delivery of financial analytical reporting packages to various teams.,Support daily balance sheet processes and regulatory inquiries.,Perform reconciliations, review intergroup reconciliations, and coordinate the investigation and resolution of discrepancies.,Contribute to an effective control environment by creating and refreshing documentation of financial reporting processes.,Support the Financial Control teams as needed and develop knowledge of relevant accounting and reporting requirements.,Assist with daily ad-hoc inquiries and requests, and ensure timely delivery of reports to the U.S. Regulatory Reporting team.,Create and post journal entries to the general ledger.,Prepare monthly attestation packages and ensure all accounts are fully reconciled.,Review and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.,Execute on all controls and provide results and documentation to the U.S. Regulatory Reporting team for review and consolidation.,Create edit check responses and help prepare decks for review and challenge meetings with the business.

Ideal Candidate

Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.,Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
