This role involves the safe and efficient operation of production equipment, specifically Purity filling equipment, during the night shift (6 PM - 6 AM). Responsibilities include following standard operating procedures, collecting product samples for quality testing, adhering to aseptic controls, setting up portion control materials and coders, performing equipment adjustments and change-overs, conducting CIP/SIP, completing production records, and maintaining good housekeeping. The role also requires supporting audits, following safety and food safety guidelines, cross-training, and complying with regulations and company values.
Safe and efficient operation of production equipment, including Purity filling equipment.,Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's) in detail without deviation.,Collect routine product samples and perform routine testing to inspect the cup and seal for leaks, defects to ensure quality specifications are met.,Follow all established aseptic controls and procedures.,Set-up and use the appropriate portion control cup and seal materials in accordance with the production run schedule.,Set-up coders, validate product codes in accordance with code specifications.,Identify and effectively communicate any out-of-specification product conditions.,Follow the established notification protocol.,Perform routine equipment adjustments per product type.,Safe operation of a lift truck.,Accurately and neatly complete production records and documents.,Perform equipment change-overs, CIP/SIP, clean-up and equipment set-up.,Perform environmental controls.,Perform product reclaim and rework operations in accordance with reclaim guidelines.,Support internal and external audits.,Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures.,Follow all established GMP's and Food Safety requirements.,Cross-train with other departments.,Perform good housekeeping within established housekeeping guidelines.,Comply with federal, state and local dairy food regulations.,Adhere to the Saputo Code of Ethics, actively apply the Saputo Company Values.,Work together with co-workers and other department personnel.,Other duties as required by management.
High school diploma or equivalent.,Minimum of two years of demonstrated work experience in food manufacturing; dairy food manufacturing experience preferred.,Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications is a plus, but not required.,A working understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP, etc.).,Lift truck certification or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification (Powered Industrial Truck).,Successful completion of drug screen and background check.,Demonstrated work history.,Good attendance is a must.
