This role is for a motivated Field Sales Engineer to join a dynamic team at Lightspeed Commerce Inc. The Sales Engineer is crucial in identifying software needs, designing appropriate solutions, and strategically positioning them against competitors throughout the sales cycle. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth by focusing on new customers, supporting key strategic accounts, and ensuring seamless coordination between sales and implementation. This position demands in-depth product knowledge, strong technical skills, and exceptional communication abilities, complemented by prior sales experience. The role requires regular travel within the Netherlands to support the Field Sales team on-site.

What We're Looking For

Support Field Sales with onsite discovery and live demonstrations, traveling regularly within the Netherlands with a high degree of autonomy.,Collaborate closely with Account Executives to define, design, and validate technical solutions.,Analyze customer requirements, identify potential risks, and recommend optimal solutions.,Proactively identify technical risks and dependencies to protect deal value and ensure a smooth handover to implementation.,Provide technical support for strategic accounts to aid retention and growth, contributing technical input during renewals and upsell processes.,Offer technical assistance to Go-To-Market teams to facilitate quick and confident sales.,Represent the product professionally and provide technical support at trade shows and industry events.,Develop a strong understanding of the competitive landscape to support sales positioning and differentiation.,Build deep expertise in hardware, software, integrations, and APIs.,Conduct Tier 1 partner demonstrations to support onboarding and strengthen relationships.,Assume technical responsibility for RFP/RFI responses and manage internal coordination.,Ensure demo setups and accounts are current and reliable.,Facilitate a smooth transition from sales to implementation.,Work closely with regional managers to align on sales strategies and priorities.,Share customer feedback with the Product team and assist with product launches and training.,Maintain clear documentation of customer requirements and technical decisions.

Ideal Candidate

Proven experience in sales, solutions-oriented consulting, or customer-facing technical roles.,Experience with cloud-based SaaS solutions.,Strong technical curiosity.,Knowledge of the hospitality industry (practical experience is a plus).,Excellent communication skills.,Collaborative mindset.,Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial environment.,Basic knowledge of APIs and integrations or a willingness to learn them.,Right to work in the Netherlands.
