This role involves managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies to maintain inventory and ensure efficient delivery to various facilities. The specialist will also be responsible for adhering to safety guidelines, performing general housekeeping, and complying with all relevant regulations.
Review, comprehend, and comply with all SOP's and quality assurance standards.,Operate equipment and use supplies according to safety guidelines; perform general housekeeping and adhere to safety procedures.,Maintain consistent practice of general company and safety policies and procedures and MSDS guidelines, including those related to biohazards and radioactive substances.,Perform all duties in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.,Receive deliveries at facility loading docks.,Assist with maintaining inventory of caging and supplies for accurate ordering and first use.,Distribute equipment, general supplies, feed, and bedding to appropriate areas.,Verify count, condition, and identity of received items against orders; ensure items are free of damage or contamination.,Ensure perishable/dated materials and mill dates are within acceptable parameters.,Decontaminate supplies as appropriate before admission to the animal facility.,Transport supplies and equipment to designated storage areas.,Submit packing slips within 24 hours of receipt and provide reports to the facility manager as requested.,Ensure feed and bedding stock rotation (oldest items first).,Maintain a neat and orderly receiving area.,Provide housekeeping services for the Loading Dock/Receiving Bay.,Assist with facilities and caging preventative and as needed maintenance.,Operate heavy equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, dock lifts, hand trucks).,Prepare and submit required written records, charts, logs, and inventories.,Actively interact with customers to resolve requests, inquiries, and complaints and provide technical assistance.,Maintain required attendance level and adherence to work schedule.,Must be a self-starter and able to manage time and operational flow independently.,Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.,Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating professionally.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.,Experience in a comparable industrial, maintenance, or warehouse environment (preferred).,One (1) year experience in a laboratory animal facility (preferred).,Certification/Licensure: None required.
