Description

This role focuses on the comprehensive management and administration of Estates, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney, working with a specialized team within Wealth Management. The officer is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and professional administration, identifying and mitigating risks while adhering to CIBC Trust policies and procedures. Key tasks include managing cash, collecting fees, and opening accounts.

What We're Looking For

Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and beneficiaries, ensure effective communication, partner with internal experts (Investment Management and Tax Department), engage external professionals, and oversee account investments.,Trust & Estate Acumen: Manage client onboarding and accounts to align with specific needs and characteristics of Estates and Trusts. This involves establishing tracking, monitoring, and compliance, and resolving operational, technical, and discretionary issues. The role also includes assisting in developing administration standards and optimizing processes.,People Management: Supervise staff workflow, provide technical support to achieve business unit priorities and CIBC goals, foster a positive work environment, and ensure compliance with company policies and values.

Ideal Candidate

8-12 years of experience in the Estate & Trust Industry.,Detailed knowledge of accounting and investing for administering complex Estate, Trust, and Power of Attorney Accounts.,Certified professional; Member Trust Institute (MTI) and/or Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation(s) are assets.
