Description

The External Automotive Estimator is responsible for preparing automotive repair estimates in accordance with GAA and company standards. This role involves travel to inspect damaged vehicles, researching parts, verifying costs, and managing claims-related dissatisfactions. The position focuses on the East Montreal sector and requires handling specific mandates and addressing complaints from various stakeholders. It offers an opportunity to leverage skills and potential within a collaborative and innovative environment that prioritizes employee development.

What We're Looking For

Travel as necessary to examine damaged vehicles.,Draft repair estimates according to established standards (GAA and company).,Research used parts, if applicable, from various suppliers and verify the price of parts and materials needed for repair.,Process calibration requests from repairers to confirm significant damage.,Establish the market value of vehicles and/or the replacement value in cases of total loss.,Provide additional explanations to claims adjusters, policyholders, and other stakeholders regarding estimates.,Analyze and manage dissatisfactions concerning automotive repairs.,Perform any other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor.,Possess a valid driver's license.,Own a vehicle.,Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in vehicle damage repair (passenger, recreational).,Knowledge of estimation systems (Mitchell and Audatex).,Excellent written and oral communication skills (report writing).,Autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility.,Diplomacy and respect.,Strong organizational skills and prioritization abilities.,Advanced analytical and observation skills.
