Equity Research Associate - Entertainment & Media

Description

The Equity Research Associate supports market research by compiling and publishing in-depth analyses of individual companies, industries, financial markets, and economic developments. This role requires expertise in data analysis and report development, solving complex problems, and building stakeholder alignment. The associate will work independently as a subject matter expert, serving as an escalation point and resource for others.

What We're Looking For

Compile, analyze, and evaluate data, conducting modeling on multiple data inputs related to assigned companies, industries, financial markets, and economic analysis research reports (e.g., initiating coverage, thematic reports, quarterly reporting, marketing packages).,Assist in developing valuation tools and advising institutional clients.,Prepare forecasting models for quarterly and annual earnings.,Maintain and enhance financial models and databases.,Stay current on market data, economic information, key industry developments, internal policies, and regulatory standards.,Develop and maintain contact with market participants.,Collaborate with senior research leads on ongoing publication of research reports and ad hoc projects.,Demonstrate governance, control, and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies.,Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies.,Manage confidential correspondence and information.,Participate in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives, identifying risks and providing guidance.,Conduct internal and external research projects; support presentations and communications.,Perform meaningful analysis at functional or enterprise levels to draw conclusions and make recommendations.,Monitor service, productivity, and efficiency, implementing continuous improvements.,Manage relationships with internal and external business partners.,Contribute to a positive work environment, quality, innovation, and teamwork.,Provide thought leadership and participate in knowledge transfer.,Keep current on emerging trends and grow knowledge of the business.,Participate in personal performance management and development activities.,Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with business partners.,Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree,2+ years related experience,FINRA SIE, Series 63, 86, and 87, or willing to obtain,Holds or is working towards a CFA designation (preferred for publishing analysts and associates),Masters or PhD (preferred)

Minimum Education

Undergraduate degree (Master's or PhD preferred)
