Equity Research Associate - Consumer Retail

Description

This role involves providing market research support for compiling and publishing in-depth analysis on corporations, industries, financial markets, and economic developments. The associate will work as an expert professional, applying in-depth knowledge in their specialty and a working knowledge of broader related areas to conduct data analysis and create research reports. The position requires solving complex problems, integrating organizational and industry context into solutions, and contributing to new methods and standards. Responsibilities include advising senior levels, building stakeholder alignment, and leading problem resolution.

What We're Looking For

Provide market research support in compiling and publishing high quality, comprehensive analysis and research on individual corporations, industries, financial markets, and economic developments.,Run data analysis and develop research reports, requiring in-depth knowledge/expertise in a specific domain/field and working knowledge of broader related areas.,Integrate the broader organizational and industry context into advice and solutions.,Solve complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, potentially consulting with multiple stakeholders.,Use advanced methods to contribute to new solutions and recommend standards.,Interpret guidelines, standards, policies, and analysis results to inform senior-level decision making.,Build stakeholder alignment in leading activities and identifying/leading problem resolution.,Compiles, analyzes, and evaluates data, conducting modeling on multiple data inputs.,Assist in the development of valuation tools and provide advice to institutional clients.,Assist in the preparation of forecasting models (e.g., forecast quarterly and annual earnings).,Maintain and enhance financial models and databases.,Stay current on market data, economic information, and key industry developments, as well as internal policies and regulatory standards (as communicated by Compliance).,Demonstrate governance, control, and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.,Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for the business area.,Ensure programs/policies/practices are well managed, meet business needs, comply with internal/external requirements, and align with business priorities.,Exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information, and confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate.,Participate in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert, helping to identify risk/provide guidance for complex situations.,Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development/delivery of presentations and communications to management or broader audience.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree,2+ years related experience,FINRA SIE, Series 63, 86, 87 or willing to obtain,CFA designation (or working towards) preferred for publishing analysts and associates,Masters or PhD preferred

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree (preferred), PhD (preferred)
