The Engineer II role within TD Securities' Global Transaction Banking (GTB) business focuses on developing and maintaining technical solutions that adhere to enterprise engineering and architectural standards while meeting evolving business needs. This position emphasizes technical expertise in efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security, supporting solutions from design through deployment and ongoing operations. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, evaluation, design, implementation, and support of solutions in compliance with industry standards, working to modernize and strengthen GTB's technology platforms.
Build, operate, and support cloud infrastructure on Azure, with a strong focus on Kubernetes, automation, and reliability.,Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Helm, and cloud-native services.,Design, implement, and maintain secure RESTful services integrating with multiple systems.,Apply security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, and SSL/TLS to protect APIs and services.,Deploy, configure, and support Kafka clusters and event-driven architectures.,Implement and manage service mesh solutions for Kubernetes (e.g., Istio).,Develop and optimize complex SQL queries across PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases.,Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and reusable workflows.,Implement authentication and SSO solutions using PingFederate and Ping Identity tools.,Support application and infrastructure observability, including dashboards, alerts, monitors, and automated incident response using tools such as Datadog and Dynatrace.,Improve system reliability through automation, self-healing, and progressive delivery techniques.,Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization across environments.,Work with technologies including Spring Boot (Java), Python, Terraform, GitHub, PowerShell, and development tools such as IntelliJ.,Contribute within an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.,Understand and support the Bank’s Customer Service Strategy.,Model high-quality service delivery in every interaction.,Lead and contribute to the continuous improvement of partner and customer experiences.,Actively support an inclusive culture aligned with TD’s diversity and inclusion agenda.,Participate fully as a team member and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.,Maintain clear and ongoing communication regarding project status, risks, and key updates.,Proactively share knowledge and learn from the expertise of others.
