Description

The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) is seeking a DevOps Engineer I within its Technology Solutions division to support the Treasury Analytics Group (TAG). This role involves developing, maintaining, and supporting resilient, scalable, and secure technical solutions for managing liquidity and market risk. The position focuses on leading the TD Wholesale Liquidity program, designing and implementing automated build and deployment processes, managing infrastructure in cloud environments like Azure, and ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to industry standards within a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

What We're Looking For

Develop and maintain technical solutions adhering to engineering and architectural design principles.,Provide technical expertise focused on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security.,Research, maintain, configure, administer, and provision infrastructure, applications, and services.,Understand architecture diagrams and contribute to application design.,Perform systems administration tasks like monitoring, configuring, backing up, authenticating, tuning, maintaining, installing, and scripting applications, services, and systems.,Script installs and stand up infrastructure in private/public Cloud environments.,Identify, develop, and maintain processes to resolve issues, communicating with stakeholders as needed.,Design, implement, and maintain automated build and install/deploy processes.,Perform Release Engineering functions for cloud or non-cloud services.,Ensure effective change management using ServiceNow.,Provide specialized L3 support (research, installation, configuration) to meet service levels and minimize operational risk.,Design, review, and integrate infrastructure and application requirements (non-functional, security, integration, performance, quality, operations).,Build/deploy base infrastructure components (e.g., Azure capabilities like Virtual Machines, ASE, AKS, Blob storage, geo-replication, databricks) and application services.,Evolve infrastructure, deploy new technologies in Azure and other cloud providers.,Maintain infrastructure components, work with vendors to report and receive fixes.,Create and document disaster and business recovery plans.,Act as an expert or lead innovator for programs and services.,Work with other teams to implement best practices for engineering and management.,Stay updated with trends, products, frameworks, and applications from vendor platform providers.,Identify and manage stakeholder engagement and impacts.,Interpret client needs, assess engineering requirements, and identify solutions for non-standard requests.,Apply best practices to improve products or services.,Monitor and control costs.,Interact with governance and control groups (regulatory/operational risk, compliance, audit).,Maintain knowledge of external development, engineering, and emerging solutions.,Proactively identify emerging technologies for robust platform domains.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.,4-10 years relevant experience.,Expert knowledge of specific domain or range of engineering frameworks, development, technology, tools, processes, standards, and procedures.,Experience as a primary subject matter expert in multiple areas.,Experience deploying, managing, and operating complex applications in a Cloud environment (e.g., Azure, Databricks).,Understanding of shell script, powershell, Python, and coding for automation.,Understanding of critical concepts in DevOps (CI, CD, CM, IaC) and Agile principles.,Motivation to address and resolve highly complex development-related issues independently.,Excellent troubleshooting skills.,Experience in infrastructure, services, and application monitoring and logging.,Configuring and managing big data technologies/databases and understanding various approaches to data storage and indexing (asset).
