Join the Central Technology team for Fortnite to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible, delivering the best possible networked experience for players. This role involves solving server performance and stability issues, guiding developers in creating industry-leading new features, and contributing to making Fortnite one of the most popular and engaging gaming experiences globally.

What We're Looking For

Improve the player experience by optimizing systems for latency, bandwidth, CPU, and memory usage.

Contribute to server release management, improving and automating the process.

Research, architect, and develop real-time technology to enable new game experiences.

Act as a point of contact and subject matter expert between game developers and Unreal Engine networking technology.

Create tools and workflows to enable developer efficiency and autonomy.

Ideal Candidate

Experience launching networked multiplayer games.

Excellent C++ skills, with familiarity in scripting systems like Blueprint, Lua, Python, etc.

Experience in a cross-disciplinary development environment, with excellent communication skills.

Strong understanding of game networking concepts.

Experience developing in a fast-paced, large codebase, making trade-offs between usability, performance, and memory.

Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently.
