As an Employment Law Intern at Saputo, you will gain hands-on experience in employment and labor law. Your responsibilities will include legal research, reviewing and summarizing policies, assisting with compliance audits, drafting documents, supporting workplace investigations, and preparing case files. You will also analyze labor and employment regulations and attend meetings with HR and legal partners.
Assist attorneys in conducting legal research on employment and labor law issues (discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination).,Assist attorneys in drafting position statement responses to federal, state, and local agency charges (EEOC, DWFD, OSHA).,Review and analyze legal documents, case files, and evidence.,Assist attorneys in conducting internal employment law investigations.,Support in-house and outside counsel attorneys in legal strategies and case management.,Assist attorneys in providing advice and counsel to business partners and stakeholders.,Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.,Assist in the preparation of presentations and training materials on employment law topics.,Perform other administrative and legal support tasks as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in business management or any related field.,Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor program.,Demonstrated excellent writing skills (writing example required).,Ability to communicate professionally with press and community contacts.,Proficient in Word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
