The Electrician - Relief is a full-time, permanent position within the Maintenance team at Saputo's Abbotsford, BC facility. This role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, as well as troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and building systems in a stimulating, clean, and safe environment. The work schedule is Wednesday to Saturday, from 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematic and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations,
Install, troubleshoot, replace or repair medium/low voltage electrical motors, VFDs, PLCs and other electrical components,
Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance,
Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, regulators and reactors,
Maintain, repair, test and install industrial storage batteries, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems,
Basic understanding of ladder logic program,
Conduct preventative maintenance programs and keep maintenance records,
Carry out general plant/ equipment maintenance,
Maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices,
Perform other duties as required
Journeyperson certificate,
Excellent mechanical skills and ability to carry out general plant/equipment maintenance,
Food industry or high speed packaging experience,
PLC training and experience would be an asset,
Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills and analytical skills,
Able to work independently with minimum supervision and within an interdependent team,
A high level of self-motivation and initiative,
Proven proficiency and dependability in current position with a good safety record,
Able to work in confined space and perform some heavy lifting
Journeyperson certificate
