Description

The Director, User Experience Research (UXR) will lead, grow, and champion a team comprising three main teams: User Experience Research, User Experience Data Research, and User Experience Playtest Research. This role involves guiding research methodology and processes, ensuring high-quality, actionable insights, and representing user research across Epic Games. The director will also work on legal compliance tasks related to data collection and storage and collaborate with other leaders in Insights and Product management to build a comprehensive understanding of players and users.

What We're Looking For

Lead the User Experience Research team in creating accurate, legally compliant, quick, and actionable research insights for all Epic products.,Guide methodology and processes of the User Experience Research team, including growing capabilities and skills, and reviewing insights.,Act as the methodology expert for user/player research, aware of past, current, and future research and insights.,Be involved in and improve peer review and research design, analysis, and visualization.,Represent and champion team data, user research processes, and value across Epic.,Maintain, build, and grow relationships with internal partners and senior leaders.,Work closely with other leaders in Insights and Product management for a complete player/user picture.,Handle legal compliance tasks around data collection and storage and communicate them within the team.

Ideal Candidate

8+ years of leadership experience.,9+ years of User Experience Research experience in the games industry.,Research methodology expert (UX Research, survey design, and analysis).,Scientist who deeply cares that research is carried out correctly.,Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to deliver direct, understood, actionable, and empathetic information.,Passion for games and understanding game player experiences.,Experience working with legal requirements around personal information and research.,Experience in writing and reviewing detailed reports and presenting data findings/analysis at all levels.
