This role at RBC involves assisting with the due diligence, network and application security reviews, and security consultation for newly acquired companies, as well as supporting potential divestitures. The director will collaborate across Global Security to develop integration plans, manage technical risks, identify and assess security issues, and implement remediation strategies for acquired entities. The position also supports all Cybersecurity technical needs for M&A initiatives and ensures relevant security tasks are completed by influencing cross-functional teams.
Review network, cloud, and access architecture of acquired companies to define alignment and integration plans with RBC.,Perform security reviews and capabilities assessments on acquisitions to determine gaps and priorities for integration.,Support and provide recommendations to leadership for remediating security gaps.,Provide in-depth expertise about security principles and ensure controls are included as technical requirements.,Advise peer architects, technologists, and business partners on approved security patterns and practices.,Review and challenge defined IT security related internal standards for the ongoing improvement of GS M&A policies and procedures.,Act as a single point of contact, collaborating closely with other Global Security and Technology Infrastructure resources, for IT security related matters.,Promote IT Security culture within the business and application management team.,Define pragmatic solutions and recommend alternatives that meet or exceed security requirements for acquired companies.,Perform risk/threat assessments of all M&A projects related to the function and report on the security status of projects.,Proven ability to identify and assess critical security risks in acquired entities, including vulnerabilities in infrastructure, applications, and processes.,Strong strategic thinking to drive risk mitigation strategies tailored to acquired entities, balancing business continuity with security requirements.,Deep technical understanding of tactical security challenges (network segmentation, endpoint security, cloud security) and the ability to prioritize and resolve them.,Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams (Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance, IT) to ensure seamless security integration.
