Director, Product Control

Description

This role at CIBC involves contributing to the US Finance team by collaborating with Finance and Wholesale Bank personnel, and other infrastructure groups on various global initiatives. The Director of Product Control will provide analytical and initiative support to the Wholesale Bank and Treasury businesses in the US, focusing on producing daily P&L reports, month-end reconciliations, independent price verification, ensuring accounting compliance, driving process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.

What We're Looking For

Produce accurate Daily P&L reports for Capital Markets and Treasury businesses, including revenue analysis.,Reconcile Daily P&L with actual results and ensure completeness and accuracy of month-end and quarter-end reporting.,Review and communicate Independent Price Verification (IPV) results and manage sign-off.,Ensure reporting aligns with IFRS and US GAAP, reconcile balance sheets and income statements, and resolve issues.,Continuously seek opportunities to automate and improve processes; maintain and update procedures.,Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Technology, and other teams to resolve issues, onboard new products, and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.,5-7 years of relevant business experience.,Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly IFRS and US GAAP.,In-depth experience with a broad range of Capital Markets products, including Fixed Income, Margin Lending, Securities Lending, Options, Futures, and Derivatives.,Familiarity with Treasury operations and financial instruments.
