Description

The Director Portfolio Management will join the National Clients Group team to support other directors, provide expert advice, and develop financial strategies for large and mid-sized private companies with complex financing needs exceeding $20 million. This involves assisting with new financing files, monitoring renewals, acting as an expert resource, and helping clients achieve business goals through appropriate financing products.

What We're Looking For

Support directors in setting up new financing files and throughout all stages of monitoring and renewing files.,Act as an expert by leveraging knowledge and extensive professional experience to provide client advice.,Help clients achieve business goals by proposing financial strategies based on specialized financing products.,Provide expertise in financing structure, financial analysis, and all aspects of file evaluation.,Identify risks and make recommendations to the credit committee in accordance with the Bank's policies.,Demonstrate a high level of collaboration and actively contribute to business unit objectives.,Participate in preliminary meetings and present financing proposals to mid-sized and large private companies.,Assist in preparing files, including due diligence reviews, financial analyses, and implementing appropriate financing structures.,Take part in negotiations with internal and external stakeholders (credit committees, clients, legal and financial advisors, other financial institutions, syndication departments, etc.).,Actively participate in all stages of monitoring and renewing existing credit facilities.,Use credit risk profitability assessment tools to ensure compliance with financing and risk management policies and standards.

Ideal Candidate

Completed bachelor's degree related to the field and 7 years of relevant experience, or a completed master's degree related to the field and 5 years of relevant experience.,Experience in financial analysis (financial statements, projections, etc.).,Experience in commercial credit and knowledge of the Commercial Banking sector.,Experience with complex financing structures (business acquisitions, LBOs, senior residence financing, etc.).,Ability to work with financial models in Excel.
