Lightspeed is seeking a Director, Marketing Operations to be a strategic and operational partner to the Marketing Leadership Team. This role, reporting to the VP of Growth, will drive organizational excellence across Lightspeed's global marketing function. The Director will lead annual planning, transformation programs, financial operations, and leadership operations, focusing on connecting strategy to execution, ensuring efficiency, achieving business outcomes, and fostering a culture of clarity, accountability, and collaboration across all regions and functions.
Lead a global team of project managers and marketing operations managers across NOAM, EMEA, and APAC.,Serve as Marketing's business lead for annual strategic and financial planning, collaborating with Finance, Revenue Operations, and regional marketing leads.,Manage cross-functional dependencies, planning milestones, and strategic decision-making.,Partner with the MLT to oversee OKR definition, tracking, and reporting.,Build and refine planning and governance frameworks.,Establish and manage a marketing management operating system (meeting cadences, offsites, reviews).,Support the MLT in driving organizational alignment through structured operating rhythms.,Partner with Finance and HR on global marketing budget and headcount planning.,Lead development and facilitation of Marketing's Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and cross-functional reporting.,Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize investment, team performance, and marketing efficiency.,Craft executive-level communications (team cascades, MLT updates, board materials, internal storytelling).,Oversee Marketing-wide communications rituals and channels.,Partner with Brand & Comms on internal employer branding and cultural engagement initiatives.,Lead cross-functional initiatives for operational health (process improvements, tool optimization, change management).,Establish standardized change management frameworks.,Act as a trusted advisor to the MLT on org-wide priorities and operational readiness.,Lead special projects connecting marketing strategy with execution.,Manage and develop a high-performing team of program and project management professionals.,Provide coaching, mentoring, and development planning.,Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.,Partner with HR and Marketing Leadership to plan for future team growth.
10+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Strategy, or Program Management.,5+ years leading teams in global or matrixed organizations.,Proven success leading annual planning and financial operations for a marketing or GTM organization.,Strong strategic and analytical skills; able to synthesize data into clear insights and recommendations.,Experience leading organizational change and cross-functional transformation initiatives.,Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with executive stakeholders.,Experience partnering with Finance and HR on budget management and headcount planning.,Comfortable operating at both the 10,000-foot strategic level and the 10-foot execution level.
