Director, Investment Banking - Financial Institutions Group - Asset Management

Description

This role involves providing expert-level product and coverage expertise, execution, and client relationship building within the Financial Institutions Group, specifically focusing on the Asset Management business. Key responsibilities include new revenue origination, transaction execution (M&A, ECM, DCM, Leveraged Finance), developing client deliverables, financial analysis, and supporting senior team members during transaction execution. The Director will also cultivate and maintain client relationships, foster collaboration, and mentor junior team members.

What We're Looking For

Responsible for new revenue origination and ownership of transaction execution across product areas, with a focus on M&A idea generation and execution.,Demonstrates expert-level market and industry expertise within the Asset Management sector.,Development and oversight of high-impact client deliverables and detailed financial analyses with sophisticated understanding of underlying sector dynamics.,Accountable for providing highly skilled support to senior coverage team members during execution of transactions, including deal structuring.,Cultivates and maintains client relationships at all levels (CEO, CFO, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, etc.).,Fosters collaboration and innovation across all levels of the team, as well with internal stakeholders and product partners.,Maintains confidentiality of client information.,Keeps senior coverage and product officers informed as deals progress/issues arise.,Establishes an environment that promotes respect for the individual employee and adheres to the policies and guidelines of the Bank.,Actively participates in the development and mentorship of junior team members.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics preferred.,Transaction experience leading financial advisory services, including M&A, Equity, and Debt financings for Asset Management companies.,Demonstrated experience managing deal teams including training and developing team members on topics such as industry trends, financial modeling, and transaction processes.,Series 7, 79 and 63 registrations.
