The Director, HR Advisory at CIBC provides strategic advice and proactive support to business partners to advance business strategies, leadership, and cultural imperatives. This role supports the People, Culture and Talent (PCT) group by translating business needs into HR solutions and leading HR programs. Key responsibilities include offering counsel on performance management, rewards, recruitment, talent management, succession planning, employee relations, and diversity within a hybrid work arrangement.
Provide strategic advice and proactive support to business partners to advance business strategies, leadership, and cultural imperatives.,Translate business needs into integrated HR solutions.,Lead HR programs for the business they support.,Provide value-added advice and counsel in all areas of Human Resources including: performance management, rewards and recognition, recruitment and retention, talent management, succession planning, employee relations and diversity.,Exercise a high degree of independent judgement in partnership with Employee Relations, Policy and Governance to resolve issues.,Work with the PCT leadership team to ensure their HR requirements are met and help build a working environment conducive to high levels of employee commitment and engagement.,Partner with business leaders to build a client-focused culture supported by the right employee capabilities.,Working with HR Centres of Excellence (CoE) partners, develop integrated talent strategies and solutions.,Plan and lead the delivery of HR projects and initiatives.,Anticipate and plan for future human capability needs by analyzing and interpreting workforce information.
Demonstrated experience in an HR Generalist, Program Management, or consulting role.,Solid understanding of HR concepts, policies, practices, and governance/legislation.,Ability to influence and make an impact, with strong relationship and networking skills.,Forward-thinking and proactive in seeking new opportunities.,Embraces and champions change.,Passionate about people, building trust through respect and authenticity.,Aligns with CIBC values: trust, teamwork, and accountability.
