Description

The Associate Director or Director in the Financial Products trading team will be responsible for designing and executing customized derivatives solutions for institutional clients. This includes pricing custom structures, executing and managing trades, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting client relationships, mentoring junior team members, preparing quantitative analyses, and maintaining professionalism in all interactions. The role is part of the integrated sales and trading team within National Bank Financial Markets, focusing on innovative investment and customized solutions.

What We're Looking For

Design and price custom derivatives structures tailored to hedging and investment needs across multiple asset classes (equities, commodities, fixed income, currencies).,Execute and manage trades, ensuring optimal performance and risk management.,Collaborate with structuring, legal, and risk teams for regulatory compliance.,Support senior team members in client relationship management, identifying new opportunities.,Support and mentor junior team members.,Prepare and present quantitative analyses and solutions to internal and external stakeholders.,Ensure high integrity and professionalism in client interactions and internal communications.,Completed a graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field (Actuarial Sciences, Engineering considered).,Proven experience (5+ years) in delta 1, equity derivatives trading, or related field, with a focus on custom and complex hedging solutions and/or risk management.,Demonstrated expertise in designing bespoke pay-off structures and executing multi-layered trades.,Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with strong command of relevant pricing models and risk systems.,Strong interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate client relationships and work with internal partners.,Proficiency with Excel, VBA, and Python.

Ideal Candidate

Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field (Actuarial Sciences, Engineering also considered).,5+ years of proven experience in delta 1, equity derivatives trading or related field, with a focus on custom and complex hedging solutions and/or risk management for counterparties.,Demonstrated expertise in designing bespoke pay-off structures and executing multi-layered trades.
