Director, Credit Execution - Technology and Innovation

Description

As a Director, Credit Execution within the Technology and Innovation group at National Bank of Canada, you will play a key role in providing strategic support to companies across Canada. This involves managing a portfolio of financing relationships with technology companies, ensuring credit quality and adherence to internal policies, and supporting daily credit activities such as covenant monitoring, structuring, and reviews. You will also be responsible for reviewing loan documentation, preparing high-quality credit submissions, and coordinating with internal partners to ensure effective credit controls. Additionally, you will serve as a credit resource and coach, participate in developing sector-specific credit strategies, identify and mitigate financial risks, and engage with clients and stakeholders in meetings and negotiations related to financing solutions.

What We're Looking For

Completed bachelor's degree, related to the industry, and 7 years of relevant experience OR completed Master's degree, related to the industry, and 5 years of relevant experience.,Experience in complex trade credit, acquisition loans and knowledge of business products and services.,Experience analyzing complex financial models.,Experience in customer service, negotiation and business development.,Ability to manage priorities and timelines.,Interpersonal skills and team player.,Knowledge of capital market debt instruments (an asset).,Experience in syndicated financing (an asset).
