The Director, Commercial Banking is responsible for expanding the portfolio of business clients, identifying new business opportunities, and developing client relationships. This role involves proposing financial strategies, adapting products to client needs, negotiating agreements, and collaborating with various bank departments to help clients achieve their business objectives.
Identify and develop business opportunities in the market and increase commercial client base.
Establish business development strategies.
Help clients attain their business objectives by proposing suitable financial strategies and Bank products/services.
Meet clients' changing needs by adapting and optimizing financial products and advice/approaches.
Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements, ensuring compliance with risk management and profitability criteria.
Draw up business development plans.
Assist the Regional Vice-President in reaching objectives.
Work with the Manager – Financing Solutions.
Actively participate in various networking activities (cocktails, conferences, etc.).
Work in synergy with all other departments of the Bank.
At least 5 to 9 years' experience in sales and business development within the financial industry (depending on academic background).
Experience in sales and business development.
Experience in analysis of financial statements.
Experience in commercial credit.
Network of professional contacts among local medium-sized enterprises and large companies (an asset).
University certificate and 9 years' experience
