Director, Board Leadership Centre

Description

This role at KPMG involves leading the Board Leadership Centre (BLC), which focuses on governance transformation for directors and C-suite leaders. The director will advance the BLC's strategic goals by executing board-level programs, developing forward-looking thought leadership on critical governance issues such as technology disruption and geopolitical risk, and ensuring firm-wide alignment. The position requires a blend of strategic planning and practical implementation.

What We're Looking For

Lead the strategic direction and delivery of premier board-level programs, managing program strategy, content, stakeholder engagement, and end-to-end execution.,Develop and champion forward-looking thought leadership on critical governance issues including strategy oversight, enterprise risk, financial reporting, technology innovation, digital disruption, AI, and data governance.,Drive strategic engagement with KPMG leaders across various functions (Audit, Tax, Advisory, Market Development, Events & Meetings, Risk Management) and external market stakeholders, orchestrating the delivery of high-value insights.,Define and evolve the BLC's strategic roadmap, building scalable processes, governance structures, and performance metrics to ensure operational excellence and measurable market impact.

Ideal Candidate

10+ years of experience in corporate governance, with a strong understanding of board oversight, fiduciary responsibilities, and evolving regulatory expectations. Knowledge of audit and financial reporting is an asset.,A bachelor's degree in accounting, law, business, governance, or a related discipline is required.,Advanced credentials such as a JD, MBA, PhD, ICD designation, CPA, or equivalent are highly valued.,Sophisticated understanding of how technology, digital transformation, AI, cybersecurity, and data governance are reshaping strategy, risk, and board accountability. Experience within or advising the technology sector is an advantage.,Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to synthesize complex issues into clear, concise, and compelling insights for board and C-suite audiences.,Proven ability to work across a matrixed organization, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and delivering high-quality outcomes through collaboration, influence, and disciplined execution.,Strategic, forward-looking thinker, naturally curious and future-focused, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
