Director, Audit & Regulatory Liaison

Description

This leadership role drives the Audit and Regulatory Liaison pillar within Wealth Management Technology (WMT) risk management. The director will ensure governance and compliance, oversee a small team, and leverage cybersecurity risk management expertise to provide strategic advisory and response services. The role involves bridging technical expertise with regulatory knowledge to protect assets and uphold trust within RBC's Wealth Management Technology ecosystem.

What We're Looking For

Lead audit and regulatory engagements, coordinating with stakeholders for timely evidence submission and issue remediation.,Lead US Wealth Technology risk management, serving as a central focal point for all USWM IT risk activities.,Partner with the broader WMT risk management team to identify, escalate, and manage technology risks.,Monitor and report on regulatory compliance, leading preparation and execution of regulatory presentations.,Assess application criticality, leading reviews to determine SOC1, SOX, and Crown Jewel applicability.,Own operational risk program execution, including Risk and Control Self Assessments and coordinating control testing.,Build strategic partnerships with Audit and Group Risk Management teams to improve process efficiency.

Ideal Candidate

10+ years experience evaluating general computing controls (logical access, patch & configuration management, change & incident management, etc.),Expert communication (verbal and written) skills, including strong appreciation of relationship management,Expert knowledge of the global financial regulatory landscape (e.g. OSFI, FRB, NYDFS, FINRA, OCC),Strong knowledge in IT and operational risk management processes, methods and tools,Strong technical knowledge and experience covering operating systems (e.g. Unix, Windows, zOS) and database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2),CRISCTM Certification,CISA Certification
