Description

The ASG Finance Director will support the Alternate Solutions Group business by providing enhanced reporting, governance, and financial planning and analysis. This role involves monthly and quarterly FP&A tasks for the ASG desk, guiding new initiatives, and ensuring consistent accounting principles. The role operates within a hybrid work model, with 1-3 days per week on-site and other days remote.

What We're Looking For

Deliver accurate and insightful management reporting and analysis of ASG financial results and key business metrics.,Support the quarterly LE/Plan development and manage the uploading process, ensuring reasonableness of assumptions and alignment with forecasting guardrails and guidelines.,Review business case documents for new products and enhancements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reasonability before executive review.,Actively participate in process design and testing for new and modified reporting flows, collaborating with Technology.,Support the implementation and enhancement of strategy-level reporting initiatives.,Identify and drive opportunities to enhance existing reporting and forecasting processes.,Provide guidance and development opportunities to analysts and other team members, ensuring high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and operational continuity.

Ideal Candidate

Demonstrated experience working with Capital Markets products in a Finance, Accounting, and Product Control environment.,Professional designation (CPA, CFA, FRM, MFin, etc.) is an asset.,Previous experience related to project management is an asset.,Ability to investigate complex problems and make sense of information.,Confident in communicating detailed information in an impactful way.,Embraces and champions change.,Driven by collective success and values collaboration.,Adheres to CIBC values: trust, teamwork, and accountability.
