The Principal Director of Financial and Actuarial Services for Canadian Dealership Services at iA Financial Group is a key collaborator in achieving strategic objectives for internal partners. This role involves fostering team development, improving processes, and contributing to major initiatives within the dealership services sector and corporate CFO teams. The position offers an opportunity to leverage skills and potential in a supportive and reliable company that values human development, collaboration, and innovation. Responsibilities include supporting Canadian dealership service activities by acting as a privileged point of contact, understanding financial results, identifying performance levers, advising on acquisition projects and growth initiatives, monitoring product profitability, and ensuring financial control. The role also involves supporting corporate CFO team activities, ensuring collaboration and alignment across value chains, being responsible for financial information production and analysis, overseeing financial health reviews, and supporting external audits. Additionally, the director is expected to develop a high-performing team by promoting alignment with best practices, supporting professional development, maintaining actuarial and accounting expertise, and identifying needs for tools, systems, human resources, and expertise.

What We're Looking For

Act as a privileged point of contact with partners to collaborate on achieving business objectives.,Support partners in understanding financial results and identifying areas for improvement.,Develop an in-depth understanding of the business model to identify performance levers and advise decision-makers.,Provide advisory support and collaborate on acquisition projects, strategic partnerships, and sector optimization initiatives.,Monitor product profitability for the sector and its subsidiaries, making appropriate recommendations.,Approve new products, coverage changes, and pricing for Canadian products.,Ensure financial control (expenses, staffing, dealer loans, profits, and costs) in accordance with CFO sector standards.,Ensure collaboration and alignment between CFO sector value chains, the sectoral team, and subsidiaries.,Be responsible for the production and analysis of financial information for financial statements, projections, budget, ORSA, investor presentations, and capital standards.,Supervise the production of the Financial Health Review and the report of the Appointed Actuary of iAPG.,Offer support to external auditors or peer review work.,Promote alignment and consistency of team activities with best practices and contribute to expertise development.,Support the professional development of resources and foster skill enhancement.,In collaboration with sector managers, ensure the maintenance and evolution of actuarial and accounting expertise within the team.,Identify needs for tools, systems, human resources, and expertise to support all activities of the Canadian dealership services and CFO sectors.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Accounting, or any other relevant discipline.,Minimum 10 years of experience in managing expert and multidisciplinary teams.,Experience in dealership services and knowledge of the Canadian market is an asset.,Recognized as a strategic business partner with mobilizing and influential leadership.,Demonstrates strong interpersonal and influencing skills, and a marked aptitude for developing and maintaining effective business relationships at all organizational levels, in a spirit of collaboration.,Distinguished by a proactive approach in identifying current and future needs.,Recognized for the ability to quickly grasp strategic issues.
