Description

The Assistant Director, Taxation, plays a key role in the planning, organizing, and coordinating the daily operations of the tax team. This position involves effective management of activities, risk management, and continuous process improvement in close collaboration with tax experts. The role also includes supervising and coordinating a team of tax professionals, acting as a mobilizing leader and strategic partner.

What We're Looking For

Collaborate and support the Senior Director of Taxation to plan, organize, and structure team operations for assigned areas of expertise.,Be responsible for the smooth running of operations in assigned areas and report issues/opportunities/improvements to the Senior Director.,Manage the efforts and capacity of a team of tax professionals.,Address and resolve operational problems with the team.,Guide and supervise strategic tax initiatives and make strategic recommendations to the Senior Director of Taxation.,Establish and monitor performance indicators for processes under responsibility, consistent with strategic planning.,Collaborate and communicate regularly with partners to understand their needs and provide required support to achieve corporate objectives.,Optimize team members' contribution to business objectives in a collaborative and high-performance environment.,Contribute to the business vision of the Executive Vice-Presidency.,Support and mobilize the team to foster synergy in achieving objectives.,Participate in the recruitment and selection process and facilitate the integration of new employees.,Evaluate the performance of employees under responsibility, participate in setting annual objectives, and identify training needs.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Law,Master's Degree in Taxation or ICCA Advanced Course (in-depth tax course),CPA (an asset)
