The Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) is undergoing a technological transformation integrating data, analytics, and AI to enhance efficiency. This role, within the Data team, involves leading data governance in an asset management context, developing and evolving data valuation, governance, and quality practices. The director will also manage a team of analysts to operationalize governance, measure its impact, and ensure user satisfaction, collaborating closely with investment sectors to understand their data needs.
Develop a global vision and understanding of data usage and governance requirements in an asset management context.,Define data governance requirements (quality, freshness, granularity, and traceability) and ensure their consistent application across the organization.,Establish and maintain a common, rich, coherent, and shared data language and vocabulary in collaboration with data experts.,Ensure continuous alignment between user needs and governance mechanisms.,Operationalize governance by applying standards (metadata, quality, traceability, automated controls).,Establish data governance performance indicators and implement steering mechanisms to measure impact and assess user satisfaction.,Implement and manage the process for handling data issues to improve data quality.,Lead a team of analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.,Facilitate exchanges and relationships with the user community and coordinate data knowledge management.,Actively participate in strategic data committees and cross-functional working groups to foster synergies.
Bachelor's Degree (in finance, economics, data science, or related discipline)
