Key responsibilities include managing and mentoring a team of developers and QA engineers, building a collaborative team culture, defining technical vision, upholding technical standards, driving agile delivery, and providing strategic technical support. This position is also designed as a stepping stone to Engineering Management, focusing on leadership development while maintaining technical credibility.
Directly manage a squad of developers and QA engineers, providing mentorship, career development, and performance management.,Build a collaborative team culture, participating in hiring, onboarding, and creating individual development plans.,Define and communicate the technical vision and roadmap for your product area, balancing short-term delivery with long-term architectural goals.,Establish and uphold technical standards and system design principles, guiding architecture decisions, managing technical debt, and maintaining best practices through code reviews.,Partner cross-functionally with Product Managers and Designers to shape solutions and validate feasibility.,Drive delivery excellence through agile leadership, removing blockers, tracking team velocity and quality metrics.,Provide strategic technical support through selective hands-on coding for critical items, high-level code reviews, and advanced debugging, serving as an escalation point for complex production issues.
