The Developing Investment Advisor role at TD Wealth, Private Investment Advice (TDW PIA), focuses on equipping participants with comprehensive financial, technical, and interpersonal knowledge to build a successful client portfolio serving high-net-worth clients. The program offers coaching, in-branch training, strategic business development, and practice management support. Key responsibilities include building a client base, developing wealth management strategies, making portfolio recommendations, executing a business plan for client acquisition and retention, implementing sales strategies, fostering relationships with TD Partners for holistic advice, and managing organizational risks effectively.

What We're Looking For

Build a client base of HNW & UHNW clients, families, and business owners.,Develop comprehensive wealth management and investment strategies for your clients based on their needs.,Make recommendations to the client regarding their portfolio's construction, security selection, monitoring, and rebalancing.,Action a business plan focused on building your client base and market share through prospecting, marketing and developing a pipeline that identifies and cultivates relationships with potential clients and external referral sources.,Develop and implement sales strategies to proactively attract, acquire and retain customers / sales opportunities and referrals, to increase profitability and enable business growth.,Take a OneTD approach with your clients by establishing beneficial relationships between your clients and TD Partners to provide goal-based wealth advice across a full range of product and service solutions.,Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks effectively.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate Degree in finance, business, economics or related discipline.,Currently licensed as a Registered Representative with CIRO.,Professional designations such as CFP, CIM and/or CFA are considered assets.,3+ years of experience working directly in a client-facing, sales or relationship-focused role, ideally in a mutual fund or brokerage environment.,Deep knowledge of the investment landscape, markets, and portfolio management.,Curiosity and desire to stay on top of the latest trends and be a thought leader in your field.,Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.,Proven entrepreneurial experience and ability to prospect and manage client relationships.,Comfort with compliance requirements and commitment to ethical client service.,Life Insurance License (LLQP) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
