Description
The Desk Appraiser II at TD Insurance will work within the Appraisal Centre of Excellence, focusing on providing technical expertise and high-value services for auto appraisals. This role involves servicing customers during their time of need and contributing to a consistent approach to auto appraisals across TD Insurance Claims and Vendor Management. The position supports professional development and career growth within TD.
What We're Looking For
Writing and reviewing photo-based estimates for accuracy.,Determining if a vehicle is repairable or a total loss.,Negotiating with repair shops on proper repair methods and pricing.,Controlling expenditures by following up on reported damages.,Completing total loss evaluations.,Completing virtual vehicle re-inspections uploaded by repair shops.,Assisting colleagues during busy periods.,Participating in various team and performance meetings.
Ideal Candidate
Direct experience appraising auto damages or working in an auto body shop.,Possess (3+ years) technical knowledge of auto body work and mechanical repairs.,College or Technical degree (asset).,Completion of autobody industry accepted technical courses (asset, continuation of education will be required).,Interprovincial Red Seal Certification (asset).
