Description

The Data Scientist II, RESL Analytics role at TD Bank involves developing and implementing data-driven solutions for business problems within the Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) team. This position requires collaborating with various teams, translating business insights into actionable recommendations, and providing end-to-end support for data, reporting analytics, insights, and artificial intelligence solutions. The goal is to drive change, identify opportunities, and enhance decision-making to better serve customers.

What We're Looking For

Develop a deep understanding of business context and data infrastructure.,Translate business problems into viable data science solutions.,Utilize a range of programming languages (e.g., Python, Pyspark, SQL, SAS) and techniques for data extraction, preparation, statistics, and advanced analytics.,Collaborate effectively with cross-functional data and business teams.,Define problems, analyze impacts, identify opportunities, and develop solutions.,Design metrics and business intelligence solutions.,Visualize insights and present findings to diverse audiences.,Lead relationships with stakeholders to validate data and drive analytical insights.,Stay updated on experimentation methodologies and continuously expand knowledge of tools.,Demonstrate detail-orientation and strong organizational skills to manage multiple stakeholders, projects, requests, and competing priorities.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.,Master's degree preferred, with progressive project work experience.,2+ years of experience performing advanced analytics or data science, and/or consulting, ideally in an influencing or advisory capacity.,Experience working with various large datasets; experience with financial products is strongly preferred.,Expertise in star-schema data layer development.,Proven ability to create strong partnerships with business partners.,Demonstrated critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.,Optional: Experience working on AI products and applications.
